Anirban has done his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University and M.Tech in Industrial Engineering from National Institute of Technology Trichy. After finishing M.Tech, he pursued his PhD on Evolutionary Game Theory from the department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at IIT Bombay. After graduating from IIT Bombay in 2014, he worked at the Sampling & Official Statistics Unit of Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata as a Visiting Scientist. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor – Business Analytics at the Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai.
